I have used SCCM 2012 for a while and here is my practice.

It is the very basic thing for SCCM, but if you only started it recently, this may help you create a better structure.

1. Use MDT 2013 and Gather task to get the computer model, and add task sequences based on computer model.

I have different computer models in school, Dell Precision T1650, Dell Inspiron 3138, Dell Inspiron 3147, Dell Optplex 980, Acer aspire one 753, Lenovo Yoga, and legathy old computer desktops as well.

It will be difficult if you dont have a right management of drivers for different computer, if you let SCCM choose the most matched drivers, sometimes you will find the drivers are corrupted.

In my case I create different driver catagories and driver packages for each computer and only apply drivers against computer model.

How to achive this in task sequences.

Step1 , Add use tookit package and gather into your task sequences, if your partition disk is based on the computer model, you can move those 2 tasks higher.

Those 2 tasks are directly from MDT, if you have no MDT integrated, here is a tutorial for it.

Then you can tell my add drivers group, each driver package against each model,

That is how simple it is. In my case the computer will only install the drivers belong to it and will not confuse themself with too many options. Cheers.
