To disable the google Chrome update and also stop it to run as background service, we can use group policy in the active directory.

We can all do this through editing registry through task sequence, so the first logon will not take that extra longer for google update.

1.Create a google.reg file with following text:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

2.Copy this file to your application package, update distribution point after copy.

3. In your OSD task sequence add a run command line task, choose the package,

in the command line type in:

reg import google.reg

Choose run as domain\administrator and password.

You can check the registry or load google chrome then go to settings -> advanced or about chrome to verify the result.
