1. Go to http://www.risingsoftware.com/support/ to download three software, network for server and two other updates for client.

2. Install firebird first on server, then run server setup follow the instructions on the right side panel. Make sure when you created a rising4 database folder and file, you need go to firebird installation fold and add following line to the <aliases.conf>.

In my case it is under <C:\Program Files (x86)\Firebird\Firebird_2_1\>.

And the line in my case is :


3. Go to client and run the updates first. when run the application you will be asked to type in the serial number and go to their website to get the activation number. Then set up the network login and create user etc...

4. After that go to c:\programData and copy <Rising Software> to the other clients after you run the updates first. This should be able to save you time to initialize clients again.
